Hello, I'm Joie Brann
Founder & Master Hair Artisan
Here’s my Hair Story:
The idea behind Studio 571 Hair Artisans was to be an integrated experience for all, with a focus on your hair needs and your well-being. We are able to achieve this by our creative efforts, incredible products in a clean, beautiful surrounding.
Being an earth-loving person, I find that it’s important for all of us to use clean plant-based products that are cruelty free. My safety for you, us and mama earth are always in the forefront of my mind. I also wanted to create a safe non-judgmental space for all in this ever changing world we live in.
My personal ongoing education has included many of the greats in our industry. I bring to you many decades of experience in the creative world of coloring, styling and reconstructive texture work. Together, we will address your hair care needs and find the solutions you need. Let’s have some fun with our most worn accessory - nothing like a great head of hair to show off!
Lastly, I’m honored to work along side this amazing group of artisans.We all seek to bring you the very best and truly believe: The art hair is food for the soul!
Hello, I'm Krista
Studio Coordinator
I’m Joie’s right hand girl. We may have spoken over the phone or even chatted at the shampoo bowl or at the register while checking out. I wear many hats here at Studio 571, and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for 12 years, graduated from Paul Mitchell school in 2009 and started at my first salon with Joie shortly after. About two years into my journey, I realized that while I was obsessed with all things “beauty” and making people look good, my real passion is making people feel good.
I truly feel that going into a salon should be great experience from the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave and not just about the service you choose. After a quick transition to a front desk role at my first salon and a few management positions in between, I finally found my home at Studio 571 and I could not be happier.
When I’m not buzzing around the salon, I’m most likely hanging out or chasing my two mini Dachshunds, Frank and Dino. I love redecorating and changing things up in my home and am always down for a DIY project. I aspire to be a crazy plant lady like Joie, but I’m not sure that’s possible!

Here at Studio 571, my goal is to create a comfortable environment during your stay with us. As an artisan, I’m dedicated to understanding all of my guests and their unique needs; this ensures that everyone leaves my chair feeling more confident than ever!

I’m a firm believer in the power of continuing education. I make it my priority to take new classes whenever possible, ensuing that I stay up-to-date with the latest trends, something we all believe in at our Studio.
So, whether you are looking for a modern sleek look or a bold transformation, we are here to deliver exactly what you are looking for. I love nurturing the creative side of myself and taking care of your hair care needs allows me that privilege.
Some fun facts about me: I enjoy spending time at the beach and being around animals. I love crafting and I’m constantly working on new projects!

I bring to you twenty five years of experience from “behind the chair, ” as we say in our profession. My artistry is backed by extensive training with Sassoon and Tony & Guy academy’s. I am also Ouidad trained and very experienced with all types of curly hair to meet your individual needs. I bring to you many color techniques to accomplish any color look you desire - share with me your inspiration photos and let’s get started!
On the personal side, I love being a mother to my teenage son and caring for my parents.
My escape is working in my backyard paradise that I am creating. Gardening is always an art in transition very similar to hair artistry! I adore fashion and home decor as well.
I look forward to meeting our community and assisting you with your hair care needs!
Hello, I'm Laura
Master Hair Artisan
Coming from a long line of stylists helped me to cultivate my passion for creating beautiful healthy hair. In my twenty-plus years, I have honed my skills having mentored under industry leaders such as Edward Tricomi of Warren Tricomi, color specialist Beth Minardi, Bumble and Bumble and Versace. This has given me opportunities to color and style hair for print, television and film.
Hair extensions is a specialty that I also pride myself in, with custom color blending, along with using premium Hairdreams hair, allows for endless options to give you the hair you’ve always wanted. My experience and eye for detail allows me to tailor each look for the unique individual.
When I’m not behind the chair (on my days off), I love to be with my family, two dogs and spending time at the beach.

I've had the privilege of honing my craft in the prestigious Princeton area for the past 13 years. From your consultation to your finished look, I bring my creativity to manifest your hair goals. My dream of becoming one of New Jersey’s sought-after hair artisans has become a reality, thanks to my loyal followers.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, hiking, and soaking up as much natural beauty as I can. I have two dogs, Honey and Lola, who don’t share my enthusiasm for nature, but they bring a wonderful balance to my life. I look forward to meeting you all!
